Dec. 30, 2012 - Jan 1, 2013

Creativity Factory
For people of any age or skill-level
with Barbara Guttman DLA (Hungary)

Do you long to awaken your creativity and enjoy the ease and fun of making art? Are you unsure about how to be creative or how to use artistic expression to deepen self-growth? Or would you simply like to skip the parties this year and make this New Years Holiday a really unique experience? If so, then this intensive 3-day workshop is designed for you.
With fun exercises in a relaxing atmosphere, this small group workshop will help you recreate the joy of self-expression (called the state of flow  by Mihály Csíkszentmihályi), liberate yourself creatively, and enjoy the process of making art through the use of both common and uncommon materials. Methods used in this workshop are related to Barbara's doctorate research in art education as well as the process of Marshall B. Rosenberg’s NVC (Nonviolent Communication)

About Barbara Guttman:
Barbara has been teaching visual arts and working as a fine artist since 2000. She came across Nonviolent Communication 7 years ago, and has been furthering her knowledge and expertise since, through workshops, training, summer festivals and NVC-related conferences in Hungary and abroad. In 2009 she completed a 3-year NVC co-trainer program and in 2011 she finished her doctoral thesis in Art Education and Nonviolent Communication. Two years ago, she started Art School in Budapest, a NVC-based visual arts school located in Budapest, Hungary. Barbara believes that education can be both enjoyable and meaningful, and she uses NVC to support the learning and creative self-expression of her students.
